Miller Biosciences LLC was founded by Mark Miller and Seonyoung Kim as a tribute to James “Jim” Miller (1933-2009). Jim Miller was a US Army veteran and a graduate of the University of Iowa (B.S., Chemistry). He worked as an organic chemist and engineer in the adhesives and printed circuit board industries for 40+ years. He was deeply knowledgeable, unfailingly humble and a superb scientist. He was also a prolific problem solver who always placed finding solutions, over egos. His inventions dramatically improved PC board drilling efficiency, reduced production waste, and contributed to 100s of millions of dollars in revenues for his company (L.C.O.A). But, like many scientists in industry, he never saw a dime in royalties or his name in lights. Jim Miller was a true unsung hero of industry and Miller Biosciences LLC is named in his honor.
